Welcome to the Silver Ring Café . . .
Every sandwich is a work of art. Bowls of black bean soup, served piping hot, transmit a magnetic aroma that will help guide you to our place. Crisp deviled crabs and stuffed potatoes disappear quickly. Ice cold sodas, beer, teas and other beverages stand ready to accompany the orchestra of fine food.
The king of every Silver Ring Café is the Cuban Sandwich. Made authentically, it’s a slice of specially prepared Cuban bread cut in half (long ways) and adorned with generous, finely prepared portions of sliced ham, roasted pork, Genoa salami, Swiss cheese and a few pickles with mustard to taste. Of course, leave it to the locals to desire some of their own stuff like lettuce, tomato and mayo and that’s no problem for us if requested. We treat our customers like family.
The original Silver Ring Café was started in Tampa’s Latin Quarter, Ybor City, in 1947 just blocks from its current location. Now situated at 15th Street and Seventh Avenue, the same delicious sandwich is still served daily.
